In response to the Covid-19 health crisis, the City of Brussels has launched a call for Smart City projects aimed at economic recovery in the City's territory. PuriFungi has been selected - among 8 other innovative projects - with its project called “Collecte Collective”, a digital platform for the creation of new economic sectors through the recovery of waste (such as cigarette butts, coffee ground waste, sanitary waste and much more !).

During Dour Festival 2019, PuriFungi was one of the two winners of the european price DEMO - Interreg France - Wallonie - Vlaanderen “Sustainability and Ecology in the Music Industry and its Operators” with its idea of creating ashtrays with cigarette butts and mushrooms, raising environmental awareness during events in a creative and interactive way.

During the six months program, we worked hard during personalized coachings, thematic workshops, expert consultancies and a green kick-start. We are glad to be part of this unique environmental and circular community !
